Nice choice!! picked this up recently and really enjoyed what I've heard so far - love the Stones although if I had to choose I tend to default to the Mick Taylor years - what about you and what are your thoughts on El Mocambo 1977??
cheers!
Yes, on record, the Mick Taylor years were the best. I really enjoyed the Stones on their !978 and 1981 Tours, but am amazed at the many high quality Concerts they have performed in the last 20 Years(check out Sticky Fingers at the Fonda Theater). El Mocambo 1977 is easily one of my favorite albums of this year and I'd put it up there with Get Your Ya Ya's Out and Brussels Affair as their finest Concert recordings!
I’ve got the Fonda theater concert and agree. Great recording. Mochambo is that good? Need to get it asap. Thanks for the heads up. Don’t know Brussels affair so another one for me to look out for. Cheers man
Brussels is top class!! Haven't heard the Fonda Theatre one - will add it to my list 😄
