A fine lazy afternoon listening
I got this album in the 80's but then hadn't heard it for decades. It wasn't as strong as I recall at the time but was still a great listen - Coney Island Baby track is subliminal
Best Tracks: A Gift, Nobody's Business
Favorite Tracks: Charley's Girl, She's My Best Friend & Coney Island Baby
An underrated Lou Reed album. Coney island baby, is obviously not his best record but it's certainly in his top five. A more laid back LP, apart from that loud part on, kicks, it's an enjoyable LP, Lou Reed's summer record. The title track is lovely and to think this was the follow up to, metal machine music.

A mostly warm and upbeat record but with a few twists and a little sleaze as you should expect. This album makes me feel like I'm at a really freaky party in the 70's and that's not a bad thing. Kicks is a sick song and Coney Island Baby shows heart.
