Incredible record. One of the most soulful performances I've ever heard. Completely original and wonderfully inspired. She can do it all. Blows me away.

I fully endorse the comments by garycottier and you can see the warmth in the comments of everyone who "finds" this album - first listen for me Jan 2021 over 50 years after release. It was really her shunning of stardom that probably means she isn't as well known and popular as she deserves. Although I did check if she was "recognised" in things like Hall of Fame - and she got there eventually

You know, I wasn't sure at first, but ended up liking her folky and quirky style.

Her best and among the very greatest ever made, truly brilliant inspired stuff by a barely 20-year old - stupidly underrated!
An absolutely stunning record. Eli, is constantly overlooked and underrated, it is simply one of the greatest albums ever. Fusing pop, jazz, folk, and, soul, Nyro creates something wholly original and continually uplifting. Every song is a mini masterpiece, including, sweet soul picnic, and my favourite track, sweet blindness. Nyro's voice is excellent throughout, as is her piano playing. This is an excellent album that deserves way more attention than it has now. Everyone should have a copy. Brilliant.
