Top 10 pop songs of the week.

1. Nicholas Allbrook - Jackie (8/II-2023/06) (Single)

Ha! Fair enough! I checked out Jackie by Allbrook.

Have you listened to this ....

Pollen by Tennis (US)

...yet? Came out this past Friday Feb 10th. Been listening to it all day as I try to break free from my post Superbowl hangover. AND it's NOT gloomy at all! ๐Ÿ˜

Speaking of which, is anyone else pissed off about that stupid holding penalty?! ๐Ÿคฌ

I'm not really a Philly fan, but it's always disappointing when Super Bowls are won in such a fashion โ€” it feels like you spent three hours watching the game for nothing. I could have been listening to the Jimmy Castor Bunch's Definitive Collection album instead, and had time to spare! ๐Ÿ˜

Yes. Thank you. I have been checking the releases of this group since 2011.
Unfortunately, Indie Pop tends to leave me cold lately.

Yeah. There does seem to be some stagnation around "Pitchfork Pop." I still can't help but geek out for artists like Tennis, Rozi Plain, and....

...Kristine Leschper!. ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

Right! Just so ticky tack!!! ๐Ÿคฌ THAT was so only holding penalty of the game?! Gimme a break! I LOVE Travis Kelche though so always happy to see hime geek out with Mahomes after a win.

Hope Philly gets right back there next year though! They deserved a better ending. They handled questions about that bullshit penalty with grace!

Feb. 14th, 2023

they say it's valentine's day. i rescheduled it. why not? it's the U.S.A., ain't it? this time to saturday night. it should never be easier to get dinner reservations for a saturday than a tuesday. that's just known.

so instead, i've been cuddling up with this bad, bad boy...

Supraliminal by Nothingness (US)

Death Metal from Minneapolis. That what it says right here on the package. And I gotta say...

The Rating: ๐Ÿ˜ˆ ๐Ÿ˜ˆ ๐Ÿ˜ˆ ๐Ÿ˜ˆ ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

The artists are similar in style, and their latest albums are similar.
One catchy track per release.
The best track on the album 2022, in my opinion:
Kristine Leschper - Picture Window

Best track on latest album 2023.
Rozi Plain - Painted The Room

This is from the series
Cassandra Jenkins - Hard Drive
The key word here is atmosphere.
To warm up on the dance floor, I recommend not missing these hits.))

Seeing her <Circuit des Yeux> tonight live in chicago with my girlfriend! We just won tickets!!! ๐Ÿฅณ

Then there's the Pitchfork Pop singer-songwriter style best exemplified by Sharon Van Etten and in 2023 by Fran's Leaving LP...
