Last year Souvlaki became one of my favourite records of all time and 40 Days one of my favourite songs ever. Machine Gun is so ethereal and perfect. Alison and When The Sun Hits are classics in the genre.

It got mishandled by Creation's marketing people and had a bunch of bad reviews in the UK music press, so they waited until 1994 to release it in the USA with "Some Velvet Morning" as a bonus track. Should've been huge, but c'est la vie, I guess... Anyway, it's my #3 album of all time, and 8 years ago they even made a Pitchfork documentary about it:
