This is one of those albums that I don't take out too often...kind of like a vintage car that's got its own special place. Stand In The Fire is the only live album by Warren Zevon with a full band. And it was recorded in 1980, so he was still a madman. It's at The Roxy in Hollywood, so the setting is somewhat intimate. The band is Zevon, guitarist David Landau, and an unknown band from Colorado called Boulder. And it ROCKS.
This is a burning down the house live album that sat out of print for many, many years...from 1980 to 2006. Special occasions. This is how I will always remember Zevon. He was a bad man.
