Catchy, decent music but I'm not very impressed. I'd much rather hear Bummed as it contains several varied and compelling musical elements which really captivated me. "Dennis and Lois" was as close as this came to doing that.
The most iconic album from Madchester other than the Stone Roses Debut. Pretty meh tbh once you get past Step On and Kinky Afro. One of those bands where the Greatest Hits comp is your best bet.
This is the album to play to anyone who needs to understand the "Manchester sound." Definitive and just great fun!
Peak Madchester. Step On and especially Kinky Afro are magnificent. God's Cop, Donovan and Bob's Yer Uncle are cool too.

always heard about the name of the band but that's about it I was surprised to hear this album does not stop beginning to end its a fun listen
Only got round to getting this 90's classic in 2016 - I liked their singles at the time. Kinky Afro, Loose Fit and Holiday are all great tracks, but the highlight is the China Girl inspired "Step On" - yes that is right, listen to the bass in the verse and it matches up tightly to Pop/Bowie China Girl
