II've been looking for this for about 3-5 years!
The album cover immediately helped me think it probably has the song II've been looking for!
The 88/100 rating seemed convincing enough since II first found this song on RYM with a high rating, listened to it once, impressed how long and psychedelic it was, and then forgot its title and never found it again.
Thanks to you, II've found a song II've been looking for for so long!
You’re welcome. Always nice when that happens. The album has other nice moments but is worth purchasing solely for the title track. It’s, IMO, one of the great psych rock tracks of all time. Enjoy
Perhaps I'll listen to the rest of the album sometime, and maybe I'll like them. II remembered the song being louder, but years have passed so it makes sense. The middle section is quiet, the loudness comes in at the last few minutes, and there's even some avant-garde meterless loud guitar parts, and even a synth playing an Arabic scale melody for 20 seconds.
It sounds like Sunshine of Your Love's 7-feet high father. Not bad ?
A song like this in 1969 is an impressive feat, and despite the fact it makes sense it was successful, popularity and traits of a certain song won't help you finding it if you don't remember the song's title, lyrics, or the name of the band.
I'm glad I've found it. Sometimes, you just need to let time pass until the song finds you instead of you finding the song. And it happened in this case ?
That’s a lovely sentiment. Pretty much a description of how I’ve lived my life of music.
