The San Diego Padres and the Seattle Mariners have announced that their Major League Baseball interleague rivalry will now officially be called the Eddie Vedder Cup. The teams play six games against each other during the season, with the series winner getting the cup named after the Pearl Jam frontman, and designed by Vedder himself. The games also involve a charity, the EB Research Partnership (founded by Vedder) that does research for Epidermolysis Bullosa.
