Gold by Starflyer 59
Hey kids! You ever wanted your Shoegaze to be heavier and more misanthropic?!? Well, Starflyer 59 have you covered! With tracks like "When You Feel Miserable" and "Stop Wasting Your Whole Life", Starflyer 59 certainly evoke a vibe of complete and utter hopelessness...with loud guitars. Situated somewhere between Low and Failure (the bands not the dispositions) Starflyer 59 encapsulates a Gen X malaise that few other bands of the time can truly claim. Perfectly themed music for the current state of affairs in the former United States of America.
Seriously though, a great album. Their debut "Silver" is also worth a listen if you dig this. Slowcore, Shoegaze, Noise, etc. What more could you want?

Jhazmyne's Lullaby by 7 Angels 7 Plagues
Ok, this album is not from 1995, but I listened to it for the first time today; it had been on my list for awhile. Rated very highly on RYM, then I come here to see that it has no listens and no ratings. INSANITY. Unique Metalcore with elements of Emo (Midwest), acoustic elements, and even a beautiful purely piano track. I'm not going to go that in depth on this, but when I saw that there was nothing for this album, I thought it would be a good idea to try and spread the word. If Metalcore, Post-Hardcore, Emo type stuff is something that you vibe with, then this is surely worth a listen.
