Working My Way Through The BEA Overall Chart

Hi Guys! I thought I'd start a music diary. For the last few years I've been listening my way through the Overall Chart on BEA. On and off. Being a bit of a part-timer on here, I listen when I can. Anyway, I maybe should have started this diary from album 1 - OK Computer by Radiohead. But it is what it is, and I am now up to album no. 2162. So I'll just start from this point - in media res, or something. NOTE: obvs the BEA Overall Chart is a very fluid thing. It's always changing even though some albums seem to be in the same spot or so for years. Anyway I hope this is interesting. At least I can put down my thoughts about albums I'm hearing, often for the first time. Thanks for the opportunity. P.S. I will keep album reviews/comments short P.PS. One reason I didn't start this for a while was because opinions vary so much. I will keep it as positive as possible but please don't hate me too much if I criticise or "don't get" your favourite albums. People fall out over less important things.

A Kiss In The Dreamhouse by Siouxsie And The Banshees

Never heard this album before. It’s very good. I think Robert Smith was with the band around this time.
A solid album.

He was on Nocturne (the live album) and Hyaena, but not this one, probably because Siouxsie had the same hair-do at the time and she was worried people wouldn't be able to tell them apart.

Echoes (2003) by The Rapture

This was a good 'un.

I think I heard a couple of their tracks before.
It's good and quite jarring in places . So it was a stimulating listen.

This was a mellow one. Post rock music is not my favourite genre but this was good. Relaxing. Creates a good atmosphere.

The Ballad Of Darren (2023) by Blur

I enjoyed this one. First time hearing it all the way through.
I think the first time I listened to it, I fell asleep cos I put it on real late at night.
But I was just tired, it's far from boring.

I dig ' The Narcissist '. I assume that one was a single.
