Sinakuz brothers are well known on the Croatian (and international) jazz scene. The project Roj Osa with Marco Quarantotto on drums is maybe their best project yet. And I'm not sure if Mazurek needs an introduction at this point, he's a legend in the avantgarde scene. Probably my biggest music regret in 2025 was not going to any of the concerts where they recorded the album (it's a compilation of live performances from several concerts). If you're up for some very diverse dystopian avant-jazz, Beton Kino is a strong rec and I think Asphalt Henbane is a decent listen even out of context.
Dear Johnny is almost a polar opposite, a simple folk punk tune which does its job in under 2 minutes. We're seriously missing some more punk and (especially) metal this time around. _________________ Overall chart Fake overall chart

Stunning stuff, Zep!
I dig both, but Asphalt Henbane is positively stunning.
Certainly a unique match-up. Both do a great job of representing their respective genres, but jazz usually ranks much, much higher than punk in my preferences and this one was no exception, so it's an easy decision for me. _________________ Bob Dylan Charles Mingus
