I just did a letter "F" challenge. Only a single letter "F" was allowed in the prompt but prompt magic was allowed. This is how the AI revised my prompt of a single letter "F" for the first image I'm posting here:

"A lone figure shrouded in mist, standing at the edge of a serene lake at dusk, with the silhouette of a forest in the background, rendered in a dreamy, ethereal style reminiscent of the works of Ash Thorp, Simon Stalenhag, and Lois van Baarle, with soft brushstrokes, muted colors, and an atmosphere of quiet contemplation"

This is the image that resulted from this.

This how the AI revised my letter "F" prompt for the second image I'm posting here:

"Cinematic film still. A figure standing alone in a vast, misty landscape. Medium shot. Moody, film noir-inspired color palette with deep shadows and golden lighting. Fog swirling around the figure's legs. A faint, eerie glow emanating from the mist. Dark, ominous trees looming in the background. Warm, golden hour lighting with deep shadows. Best quality, incredibly detailed, 8k resolution, cinematic, atmospheric, mysterious, misty, lone figure, film noir, golden hour, eerie glow

This is the image that resulted from this.

It looks like the AI picked out the word "fog" for my single "F".

Okay, thanks for the info. I assumed that each prize-winning image involved writing several different versions of detailed prompts until you got it to look just how it looked in your mind.

But it turns out that much of the time, the AI even writes the prompt for you, and prompts are as short as one letter or some emoji? In my opinion this is not art. It's just a game that results in images, and apparently it can be a fun and social game.

The AI only rewrites your prompt if you use prompt magic. I don't always use prompt magic and it's a new feature, so most of my images weren't created with prompt magic. And I like my images much better than a lot of so-called "art". As I said, I hate modern art and find no beauty in it. I actually love some of the images I've made with the AI. And as I said before, it's nice for those of us who have never had any artistic talent. Whether you consider it art or not, it results in some images that I love.

Good letter choice! Lovecraftians always use "Ph" when formulating names using the "F" consonant, so there's less for the AI to work with. The letter "J" would probably be another good one.

I am not the host of this particular series of letter challenges, so I had nothing to with the choice of the letter "F". The next challenge was the letter "G", so I guess the host is going in alphabetical order. This is what I got with the letter "G". I like it.

I've won several more challenges since the last time I posted on this thread. I've never won this many challenges before.

Presumably the AI is going to behave the same way regardless of whether or not you choose the letter or like the results. In this case, it took your "G" and assumed you wanted a picture involving Glaaki, the titular monster from Ramsey Campbell's The Inhabitant of the Lake, a Cthulhu Mythos story written in the mid-1960s. You can just see Glaaki's eye-stalks as they break the surface of the water to the right of (and behind) the soon-to-be-annihilated human figure.

That's how they draw you in. Slowly but surely... I'd suggest that you save yourself and get out before your soul is completely corrupted, but I'm guessing you're also a Trump supporter, so... 🕺

I went to an AI art generating site called Canva. Because, bored. The site asked for five words in order to create an image. I typed in "A B C D E F".

I was given a quite intricate picture of a brick wall with a face inside of it. I didn't save it because they wanted me to become a member, and no.

That's the amount of talent and effort it took for me to "create" a fully detailed AI image. I wouldn't even call it a game.

I typed "A B C D E F".

9 seconds of life lost that I'll never see again.

I never claimed it takes a lot of talent. But making paintings that look like a 5 year kid scribbled takes no talent either. Yet some people call it "modern art" and hang some of it up in museums.

Since I'm being ignored and not getting any help on this, let me remind everyone here that this is not a political thread and it's not on the political board. Even if it were, attacks based on politics are completely out of line. Comments like this one: "I'd suggest that you save yourself and get out before your soul is completely corrupted, but I'm guessing you're also a Trump supporter, so...", by MadHattanJack, don't belong on this thread or on the boards. This was not only totally out of line, but there was absolutely no reason for it.
