School is today! Embarking on the homestretch of Junior year, I'm excited. 6:30 AM is the time of waking today, to school I head. The night before, I fell asleep to Tame Impala's Innerspeaker, I ended on track 6, so that will be listened to sometime today.

8:33 AM

III by Crystal Castles

After loving their first album, and liking their second album, I had the need to listen to their third album! This is great, everything that I was hoping for was delivered to my ears with excitement. I was able to listen to this during second period (well, it poured into the transition to third), which is always nice. The whole album is quite dreamy, but the final two tracks are what really sold it for me, gorgeous.

85/100

Also, I'd love to take one recommendation each day! Anything less than 90 minutes, preferably.

Innerspeaker by Tame Impala

Listening to this now. I prefer Lonerism, but that is not to say that this isn't a great album. I love the aura of this album. About finished with this, and I must say, this is one heck of a debut.

EDIT: I finished the album, what a fun experience! I got a weird vibe that reminded me of Sonic Youth and The Rolling Stones, especially in the guitar.

84/100

Signing up for extra Summer classes!

I like this so far. Have fun at school! Learn lots!

And is there any particular kind of rec you'd like?

Thank you!

Any rec works! I tend to like fun/bouncy albums the most ๐Ÿ˜

Rubber Factory by The Black Keys

I received a vinyl copy of this for my past Birthday, but have never really listened to it. Now is the time! I have pretty high hopes considering their last three albums (especially Turn Blue, it's new, check it out!) are great.

Hoping to finish The Black Keys' discography within the next two weeks.

EDIT: Finished! Very consistent, but a little samey. I prefer the latest three, but this is still a great effort!

81/100

I think I heard different records than you.

Granted, they're not the best that the genre has to offer per se, but I like them quite a bit.

What didn't you like about them?

Needs more Autechre.

I'm glad it's your turn, you post a lot in the listening thread without writing anything about what you listen to, that'll finally be a good way to know what you think!

This is good! Keep it up.

Gotta say though it does need more Autechre.
