Hey guys Smile I'm glad to announce that BEA has decided for our next film poll to focus on the 70's.

Rules are the same as all the other times.

The gist/ rules:

BEA's composes a list of our favourite films of the 70's Smile

Anything with an American release date past January 1st 1970 will be accepted. A film released in May 1969 at Cannes, but was later released in the US in February 1970 would still be eligible. Documentaries will be allowed, but shorts (<40 min) will not. No films released past December 31st 1979 will be accepted.

All lists will be PMed to me, maxing out at 100. The final list will be 100 films. This time around, I'll be accepting lists of any denotation up to 100. The size of your list determines it's weight.

Lists will also be accepted in imdb and letterboxd format. Deadline will be March 5th.

Some notes about what will be accepted:
Scenes from a Marriage
Fellini Satyricon
Jeanne Dielman, 23 Quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles
World on a Wire
Out 1, noli me tangere
The Tin Drum
The Battle of Chile
(will be accepted as 1 piece, not 3)

What will not be accepted:
Tale of Tales
Roots
The World at War
I, Claudius
The majority (all?) of Hollis Frampton's filmography
Tokyo Story

Can't wait for all the great minds that brought you Captain EO's inferior previous work being held up. Razz

Allright this list should be fun, expecting something a bit weirder overall (or not, but hey maybe at least a little bit), again will catch up on films and risk my neck for my brother man, should get something in at the last minute as always. Should be a complicated list and nobody will understand it but my woman... can you dig it?

Here's my tentative list. Decided to hold off on the one-movie-per-auteur rule here.

I'm sorry Charlie, but I won't be accepting Critical Mass. It's too short. Sad

Actually, I don't think I'll be accepting any Hollis Frampton films... I don't think he ever made anything long that 40 minutes, did he? Think

The rest of the list looks perfectly fine though Smile

Awesome Smile Thanks.

Will definitely be picking a few recs off of there before I compile my personal list.

Maybe this poll will be enough for me to finally find some way to watch Eraserhead. Been meaning to forever. Hard to believe it could usurp Harold and Maude as my number one, but I can definitely see myself enjoying it.

Definitely gotta watch Celine and Julie Go Boating... it's already appeared on a few lists, and it looks like it's right up my alley. RIP Rivette.
