So depending on where you live, weeks may start on Sundays. If they do, we've got what I think was the best week for music.

This week, in history, we got the following, not including singles (which include "Splish Splash", "How Sweet it Is", and debuts from the likes of Elvis and Johnny Cash)

June 15:

Street Legal by Bob Dylan

Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division

[according to the band's facebook page and a couple articles this was June 16, so I don't know for sure]

The White Stripes by The White Stripes

June 16:

Trout Mask Replica by Captain Beefheart and His Magic Band

The Queen Is Dead by The Smiths

June 17:

Deja Entendu by Brand New

One Of The Boys by Katy Perry

[OK that ones a bit of a guilty pleasure, I'll admit it]

June 18:

Yeezus by Kanye West

June 19:

Beatles' 'Long Tall Sally' EP

Agents Of Fortune by Blue ร–yster Cult

June 20:

"Yesterday" ...and Today by The Beatles

June 21:

First mass production of 33 1/3s by Columbia

Recovery by Eminem

Bon Iver, Bon Iver by Bon Iver

So here's the question: Do y'all think there's a best week in music? Just historically the best? I'd love other peoples thoughts, no idea if this is anything others have thought about in the past but I have.

PS This week this year, we get new albums by The Knife [New versions of old songs], OK Go [EP], Cerebral Ballzy and Antlers too!
