Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 7% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 75.7/100, a mean average of 74.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 75.8/100. The standard deviation for this album is 13.8.

A mighty fine debut and they got better !!
Irresistible, as high in energy and fun as they ever got.
Started okay then fell apart.
A very good debut. A very raw, almost punk rock style garage rock album. Its The White Stripes at their most primitive, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
Best Tracks: The Big Three Killed My Baby, Do
Early raw Jack White is nothing to be sniffed at.
The White Stripes' first album deserves to be remembered. In some ways it's just as good as anything that they did later.
After spending most of my team with later iterations of the White Stripes catalog, I have come back to this album only to realize that this is the best of the bunch. It is everything that makes the White Stripes great an not an ounce more.
Very raw and catchy. A fun record listen to. The beginning of one of the greatest rock bands of the 21st Century...
Great to hear their early stuff.
The song Do is a stand out.Great riff!
