Great album by a vastly underrated band. I never understood why The Jam never was bigger in the US? Maybe their subject matter was too English like the Kinks? Almost every song on this album is a classic.
I got into The Jam because I was a huge Who fan and heard they were Who-ish, which was true. This album, Setting Sons and Sound Affects are my three favorites.
Oddly enough I listened to All Mod Cons this morning for the first time in about 10 years. It's got too many 'little England' tracks for my liking (I loathe their cover of David Watts, Mr. Clean is shit, and Billy Hunt is throwaway), but the closing salvo of Wardour/Tube is about as good as The Jam ever got.
