Yeah, by all rights can't vote in this one. I probably do like Nick Drake more, I definitely like Pink Moon most out of everything by them, but it just doesn't feel right to vote against Smith. Nick Drake will win anyways.

This is one of the most poetically perfect matchups that I could have imagined in any music tournament. I even had a whole thread about comparing these exact 2 artists like 7 months ago or something, I don't know if anyone remembers. Nick won that easily. At the time I was definitely more of an Elliott Smith fan. Since then it's tipped the other direction. I think I'm a bit more of a Nick Draje guy now. But damn both are just absolutely legendary ad amazing.

Elliott Smith easily. Pink Moon is the best work by either artist but Elliott was a lot more consistent in his work. Five Leaves Left is patchy and Bryter Layter's production is incredibly dated, whereas Smith hit a home run with every release.
