Hello there guys, my name is Isaiah and I was directed here by Precedent who I know from playing the Pokemon Trading Card Game. I like to think of myself as "Purple Rain" because I'm almost always wearing purple and I just dyed my hair purple as well. I love the color so darned much and I don't know why. Of course I'm a fan of Prince too.

I never really got too deep into music until about two years ago. However, my music tastes have shifted drastically. I'm always super into a specific genre for awhile and then move on. ADHD sucks man.

J-Rock -> K-Pop -> Post-Hardcore -> Hip Hop (have consistently loved it though, grew up with BET always on TV) -> Indie Rock -> Chillwave -> Psychadelic Rock -> Shoegaze -> Exploring the Greats. I think it's more elaborate than that but I don't feel like trying to remember things. I found a lot of albums on these top lists that I had never listened to...it's almost embarrassing.

Now I'm pretty much obsessed with music and my goal is to use my technological skills in UX and Programming to somehow contribute to the music industry so I can constantly be around it while capitalizing on my strengths. Still don't really know what I'm looking for specifically. I have been volunteering at a local radio station (KEXP, it's relatively well known) with hopes of possibly getting a tech job there. I've also thought about working on a streaming music service as they're currently on the rise (Google acquiring Songza, Apple acquiring Beats, Spotify destroying the market, Amazon Music, and so on). Or just develop tools for musicians and/or consumers of music maybe? I also love, love, love collecting vinyl. I only started doing this about a few months ago but my collection is quite large for such a short amount of time. I have an addiction, AHAH.

PS: Don't take my charts seriously, I literally just populated it with albums I relatively enjoyed and it's a work in progress. However, I think my all time favorite song has to be "Thieves in the Night" by Black Star. The lyrics are just so damn powerful and relevant to me.
