- Post subject: I can rate my own charts?

This is not a request to do so. I was searching for other grunge charts on this site, and I found I could rate my own grunge chart. I rated it low to see what would happen, and apparently it was counted. Can this be fixed? I think this can only happen in the search function.

Oh, I see what you mean. I took off the first rating, so I thought your first post was talking about you trying it on your chart. But yeah, it can happen. It should be fixed, because it's easy to abuse that.

Thanks for reporting. Looks like a bug as rating on your own charts shouldn't be possible. I'll fix the front-end as part of the next site update, but in the meantime I'll make a background fix so that people's own-chart ratings are deleted each time the latest stats are calculated.
EDIT: Just checked and these ratings are already deleted during stats processing. (However, ratings remain on the site for a small window in-between these batch runs.)

Did you test it on yourself? Because I took my rating off on the search screen with the red "-".

Yes, I've verified there are no self-ratings in the entire database. If people do somehow manage to rate their own charts, those ratings get deleted automatically (from memory, every four or six hours).
