In my opinion, the best Sonic Youth album. Easily their most cohesive, and arguably most accessible collection of songs.

Used to think that this album wasn't anything special compared to Daydream Nation, but now I think it's amazing. Really captures the tight noisy tracks Sonic Youth are known for. Probably their most straightforward of their 80s catalogue. Schizophrenia is just beautiful.

What about "I can't get laid cuz everyone is dead"?
Catholic Block is a top 3 Sonic Youth song for me, but I always feel the rest of the album doesn't quite keep up. Still my third or fourth favorite of theirs though
