Hey guys, it seems like year charts are an underused asset in our community. Many of us make them, but they hardly get any ratings because they're too much work. So I thought it'd be fun to make a game out of rating them.
Just look at one or more year/decade charts of the above user and comment on them. Maybe even give them some recs.

Not a bad idea. Left you a comment on your 2010 chart.

Extremely pop heavy at top. Even moreso than I would have expected. Could use some Gil Scott Heron, John Grant and Anika. And kinda surprised not to see The Books represented. I'd also imagine you enjoying the carefree surf pop fun of The Drums.
I could see you loving this record, or possibly hating it. who knows.

Yo, rocky, I rated and commented in your 2000s chart. Here it is.
Mercury on Rocky's 2000s chart wrote:
Here's the thing, I like it pretty much A LOT starting with page 3. I'll admit being turned off a lot by your top 10 and 20. "Sigh No More"? "The Resistence" Avett Brothers? As you know I'm a pretty typical bastard in my distaste for those acts.
But I like what you have after that, gotta respect the amounts of WS on here, and Agalloch is cool and some other stuff.
You're a very well listened user so recs may be tough, but had you given any solo Albert Hammon Jr a listen? Especially recommend the album "Yours To Keep" by him. It's a pop rock gem at points. Really solid.
Also what's your opinion on Brett Dennen's stuff especially "So Much More" album?

Thanks! And as for Dennen, I haven't listened to So Much More in forever, I'll have to relisten to it. I remember liking it though. _________________ Progressive Rock
This is wonderful 80s music chart! Seems very unique for someone to consider Tears for Fears the creator of their 1st favorite album of the 1980s and then consider Rush as making the 2nd! It seems like you most definitely listen to what music you want to.
I think I know why I rated 100 in the past ๐
I'll go to a Mercury chart next as this was what I meant to in first place. I had been reading thread a while and looking at charts from all. I liked your 1996 chart as a well RockyRacoon

Aight I went on Kiki's 2010 chart and I wrote this

Different.
Also of course great chart and love the cribs ๐
