Fun fact: jacket is a pun on "jack it", implying masturbation.

Great album. My 3rd favorite of them after the self-titled and Enema. Pretty cheery and fun songs that always make me happy amongst a sea of depressing songs on my playlists. I always liked Tom's funny voice and Mark's calming voice interchange through the songs. And topics are pretty simple, take me back a few years when they were my favorite band, and everything was pretty easy in life. Good, fun stuff to come back to every now and then.

One day, "First Date" will become an FM staple on the level of "Baba O'Reilly". Oh what a happy day that will be.

Don't share your enthusiasm... I always found it pretty simple.

Never liked this band. Whenever I think about trying to get into them, I see something like the title of this album and remember why I never liked them in the first place.

Pretty much my line of thinking. I was at the age where I liked pretty much anything I saw on MTV besides boy bands and pop princesses and still thought they were lame as hell. I'm actually baffled that they are prominent enough on BEA to get AOTD.

Nina Simone; Bill Fay; Jim Croce; The Radio Dept... Just a few noteworthy artists off the top of my head whose highest ranked albums are ranked below this trash. Don't try to compare them or anything. I couldn't come up with any good pop punk bands. If anyone has any recs in that department I'd love to discover them.

Thanks. Slightly familiar with a couple of these bands but haven't given them much of a chance. That'll be my project today.
