Any suggestions for albums that aren't too challenging for someone who has only just started to get into the genre?

I bought Kind of Blue as a first jazz album and am loved it.
So then I bought Bitches Brew, but for some reason, listening to it makes me anxious. haha!
So perhaps Im trying to ski the black diamond runs before the learners slopes...

Theres a good Jazz chart posted on here by RFNAPLES, but without much knowledge of the genre and all its sub genres, of course I don't know which albums may be suited to a more mature palate.

Like olives, anchovies, blue cheese, oysters, vegemite and haggis, I think Jazz is an acquired listening taste, that for some, like me, needs to be navigated into with a bit of an idea of what Im listening to

Here's a couple that I think you'd get a lot out of

Time Out by The Dave Brubeck Quartet

My Favorite Things by John Coltrane

and for a next Miles Davis album, you find one of these more enjoyable

Sketches Of Spain by Miles Davis

In A Silent Way by Miles Davis

I jumped right into the "challenging" free and fusion stuff from the get go; it all depends on you. Here's some of my favorites that are more traditional though.

Bags & Trane by Milt Jackson & John Coltrane

The Sidewinder by Lee Morgan

Maiden Voyage by Herbie Hancock

I second what has been said in the two posts above me. I think these records are also pretty accessible too:

Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers by Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers

Saxophone Colossus by Sonny Rollins

Also this because of the feature of Miles Davis:

Somethin' Else by Cannonball Adderley

Black Coffee by Peggy Lee

This is technically vocal jazz, but it's the most instrument-heavy vocal jazz I know from the period.

Some ideas that are more in line with "Kind of Blue" than "Bitches Brew"

Good introduction to modern jazz

Birth Of The Cool by Miles Davis

Cool jazz at its best

Milestones by Miles Davis

Mingus at his most accessible, I believe

Mingus Ah Um by Charles Mingus

Since "My Favorite Things" have already been mentioned...

Blue Train by John Coltrane

Recently

Accelerando by Vijay Iyer Trio
