The movie is a bit more enjoyable. I really don't get the hate for working with other artists/paying homage to American music. It's not like Bob Dylan and B.B. King were like I don't want to work with U2 and U2 made them do it or something... it was a collaboration they got hated for... don't get it.

Solid original music as well as covers/poetry from other artists that range from great to ok.

Great original works/collaborations:
3. Desire
4. Hawkmoon 269
8. Silver And Gold
10. Angel Of Harlem
11. Love Rescue Me
12. When Love Comes To Town
13. Heartland
14. God Part II
17. All I Want Is You

Having said that, this is probably one of my least favorite U2 albums because it's kind of all over the place.

All I Want Is You is one of my favorite songs of all time.

The movie's pretty fun, though I think The Reflektor Tapes beats it as a real-life Spinal Tap depiction.

Fan rant... look away if you want logical thinking... hehe.

So I'm reviewing the 80s and I'm realizing this got ranked 144...What frustrates me more is Hysteria by Def Leppard is ranked 70th... that's double more awesome and it totally, totally isn't.

BUTT ROCKERS UNITE!!!

I agree the covers are less cool, but damn this album has GREAT music on it. It's hard to believe people don't like these songs or can't at least admit they have merit.

There are plenty of albums ranked higher which have one hit wonder material and MANY that don't have these many amazing songs:
Desire
Silver And Gold
Angel Of Harlem
Love Rescue Me
God Part II
All I Want Is You

Dude!!! I had know idea the butt rock revolution started the singularity!!! Why'd you give it away, you could have controlled so much more! No wonder SkyNet got it's start in the 80's.

I do not understand your revolution or your science, sir, and I do not wish to listen to U2. My words are only in relation to more general thoughts.
