I'm so damn hyped for the next Swans album, guys. So I decided to cope with it by starting a hype thread.

Here are the three albums I'm anticipating the most right now:

The Veils: Total Depravity

Link

I was pretty underwhelmed by their last album. This band seemed to be getting progressively tamer and milder with each album. But just by looking at the title and album cover of their upcoming album, "Total Depravity", I could tell that that trend wasn't gonna continue. Sure enough, this new song Axolotl sounds unlike anything they've have done before. And Finn Andrews's viciousness, which was missing on their last album, is back.

Pile: LP5
Pile is a fantastic band. They'll be recording their next album this September. I have no idea how it will sound, but I can't wait. Every album of theirs has been great. Here's one of their past songs.

Swans: The Glowing Man

Since their comeback, Swans have never failed to freak me out. And this song......

I'm hopping on the Swans hype train with you, bud. I've liked every sample they've released thus far.

I guess news was just announced that Opeth's new album will be coming out in the fall, I'm looking forward to it.

Also, even though my hopes on it aren't as high as they once were, I'm still a huge Metallica fan and James Hetfield said their album would also be out this fall.

I'm with you on this one. I've long loved The Veils, but their last one was pretty disappointing. With El-P involved, Total Depravity has the potential to be their best

Nick Cave's new one is coming out September 9th, and is to be preceded by a movie version of the album that will likely show in mostly European art houses.

This. One would think the death of his son would make Cave's songwriting really dark and gloomy. Oh...wait a minute...
