I've been listening to a few songs from The Velvet Underground and his album Transformer and, I've got to say, that he is one of the most laid-back icons in the music business. But what makes him so cool and respectable? _________________
Lou Reed comes off as a total pretentious, hipster, douche. That said, Transformer is a phenomenal album and I definitely do enjoy his vocals. This was an easy vote for me. David Bowie's influence on Transformer is what does it for me. _________________
He wears sunglasses, Andy Warhol was around his band, his album Metal Machine Music exemplifies the modern doesn't-give-a-fuck-attitude, which is extremely popular today, he did (still does maybe, I don't know) drugs. He's cool in many ways. _________________ "The Beatles, the greatest band known to mankind." - Bismah Mughal

I almost forgot about Warhol, ๐ฒ his presense was what brought Velvet Underground to the status it has today, specifically talking about VU&N. _________________
I respect him a lot but I don't dig his voice, except on Rock N Roll and Sweet Nuthin'. Never liked Transformer too. _________________ That's right, I'm an Asshole

ehh, probably ๐ , but I thought heroin would ruin somebody's life instead of adding something to the coolness factor - while having a somewhat creative endeavour in music - but apparently not him according to the quote. _________________
