hi RF, were there any particular posts you had in mind? I had a quick check on the which album are you listening to? thread and it looks ok. Happy to investigate if there is a problem...

All day yesterday I was unable to post images, tried gif, jpg, pgn but after a delay the code came back changed to img::
Check out the images in the Obama thread. All the old images were missing and the code had been changed. Went back to edit them and some repaired and posted others just wouldn't stay edited.
Also checkout the attempted image posts on the 5/18 and 19 by other members in the thread you mentioned.
This behavior is not exclusively with my images. BTW I checked the images first with an HTML editor and they worked there. _________________ Top 100 Greatest Music Albums by RFNAPLES

I could only find two posts in the Obama thread with a missing photo and both those photos are missing because the URL is hot-linked to a file that no longer exists (both photos from same domain):
http://www.besteveralbums.com/phpBB2/vi...0330#10330
http://www.besteveralbums.com/phpBB2/vi...1801#11801
(checked up to page 13 out of 52)
EDIT: Now up to page 20 and found two more missing images and both from the same domain as above (iowntheworld.com). It looks like the site has restructured and URLs from that site are no longer valid (one of the perils of hot-linking).
I also checked 18th May in that other thread and seems ok to me, I'm sure there must be a problem somewhere as Mr.Shankly was alluding to something along these lines as well, but I haven't found an example yet that I can investigate as a glitch.

everything on that page is displaying for me (e.g. I can see the Peter Gabriel sleeve on Applerill's post).
btw, that img:: code is generated by the forum thumbnailer so that a preview can be displayed in your post instead of a full-size image (if the image is bigger than the width of this forum).

thanks, a good spot - a problem in IE9 and I only use Firefox or Chrome. So, it looks like a rendering issue now, so I'll look into and fix.
Good old Microsoft, they will create web developer jobs for life. The darned thing was fine with IE8!
EDIT: Fixed - images now display correctly in IE9.
