ack, I know. Well you can take it apart and then soak it in water (since it's plastic) then dry it off and put it back together again. Unless of course it's a card digipak or something (and I've had a couple of them and that really is RARRRRRR-inducing).
I hate it when the disc is so tightly secured ti the case that it squeaks and bends when you try to remove the disk.
I have scratched a CD ( a gouge actually 🫢 ) in a CD because of this and had to throw it in the trash without ever getting to listen to it 🙁 _________________ .

Use a knife between the label and the case to cut one side of the label. Grab the label and gently remove the larger side. Now attempt to get the remaining label off the other side starting at one of the top cut corners. 😈
