Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 2% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 79.0/100, a mean average of 79.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 79.5/100. The standard deviation for this album is 13.5.

It's pretty rare album art draws me in this deep. I just did a very cursory review of some of my collection, and none of the art hits me like this one. Dare I say, side by side, it makes a lot of album art look like just something that everyone sends with an album because they have to. I like the idea of album art complementing the music to this extent, guiding my thought along through another dimension of the music experience.

In terms of the tunes, I like everything on here, but I don't love all of it. The real killer tracks though are the ones with the production where sounds seem to reach out of my desktop speakers.

This is beautiful music, the last three tracks really do it for me especially Going Up with those amazingly high vocals which just seem otherworldly. And I give such a high rating because I love when an album both starts and finishes so strongly. Not to mention there are fantastic songs found all throughout this with Heaven's blade maybe just being the weakest (But still amazing).

Definitely one of my favourites and the rating could increase the more I listen to it. 9/10 for now.
