not because of the usual miserabilist content (which I usually love) but most depressing because it was such a disappointment

Science Fiction by Brand New
Depressing because of it's content.
Depressing because it's their announced final album.
Depressing because it will forever be overshadowed by the sexual misconduct.
Most depressing of 2017 because ''in the beginning of the year you awaited the release of your favorite artist, only to have doubts about them at the end of 2017''.

Depressing because of the let down. I'm not the only one who feels about that, their half empty concerts are evidence enough. Everything then, Nothing now.

Mount Eerie is incredibly sad, about death and grief, but the reason Pure Domedy is more depressing to me, is that it's a demolition of faith in anything and everything. It's devoid of hope.
