I'm tempted to call it dad rock, but it's full of fantastic tunes. It's a great feel-good album.

As an old f#{% I don't see the phrase dad rock as the insult some seem to mean it to be.

Its a great album - the one that introduced me to Ryan Adams. I like Heartbreaker as well. And I want to hear his latest one.

I do. And if you consider Ryan Adams dad rock, then you're probably as out of touch as you think the dads you're targeting with the phrase "dad rock" are.

Dad rock can be great, just look at Led Zeppelin or The Rolling Stones. I mean there's some awful dad rock like AC/DC or Bon Jovi but there's awful music is every genre.

But yeah...Ryan Adams....not dad rock. Bryan Adams on the other hand...

Yes it is. I created it.

It's not a genre of music. It's an excuse to insult people who are older than you.
