  • Post subject: Distinguish Between Artists with Same Name?
So I'm currently adding in albums that I own that aren't already on this website into the database, and I encountered a small issue: Two of the artists I'm flushing out both created music under the name "Paper Bird". One band is from Colorado, and since they're already in the database I've been able to flush them out no problem. But the other Paper Bird is a singer/songwriter from Austria that isn't in the database yet. What is the best way to distinguish them from each other? Add a (US) or (AU) to the band name?

Yup. Definitely. But keep in mind Austria's ISO code is AT.

Yes, the rule is to use the artist's country two-character ISO code in parentheses.
