|
What an amazing movie in his art. Not doing good at start with the awkwardness of the character, but realizing it that the personality of him it's turning into the most chaotic perception of the bottom of psychological sanity until it shocks you to the end, made it one of the most relevating movies of the year and probably of the decade.
My hands were shaking by the end, and I was cold as a holiday in the Calafate. I didn't know what to think by the end, but I realize now that was an a pretty unexpecting movie plot to watch if you expect the feeling of watch the story of a simple villain/superhero in a comical way.
And for not doing the words long, I really want to know everything about what is the best Joker for you, and discuss about everything.
Simply vote and comment if you want.
Thanks.

Haven't seen Joker yet, but I have to think Phoenix's only competition is Heath Ledger.

yeah. I was expecting great things considering all the hype but was pretty nonplussed with Jared Leto's take on the character.
anyways, I voted for Cesar probably for sentimental reasons. One of my favorite shows as a kid. And now my kids love it too. Timeless camp.

"Majority" implies more than one vote. Matchup's meaningless unless more people vote.

Only seen Heath and Phoenix, so... Heath. Nothing against Phoenix, but no overfanboying can ever ruin the fact Heath's performance is insanely good. Got around to watching The Dark Knight for the first time in years last week, and he's really way above and beyond even the film itself. _________________ Doubles & Conch

I don't see how Jared Leto even has enough screen time as the Joker to merit a vote... Let alone that Nicholson, Ledger & Phoenix are all much better modern versions (especially Ledger). _________________ Finnegan was super bad-ass.

In order of stuff with things:
Heath Ledger - I felt like I was dealing with a true psychopath - it was intense to watch (some of this is screenwriting of course - or whatever the people call it who know what the the hell they are talking about).
Joaquin Phoenix - It was interesting to see the development of a psychopath. Great acting - but really the character here isn't as powerful as Heath's because half the movie he was actually vulnerable/normalized (not that that's a bad thing, it's just Joker isn't a normalized thing normally)
(Mark Hamill) - the voice of joker needs to be convincing and it's been a bit, but the cartoon and voice over seemed pretty good
Jack Nicholson - while dude has the face more than anyone else naturally, I felt like he was too fun and not much of a true psychopath. I don't remember any "here's Johnny moments", and perhaps that's not his fault (again more's at play than the actor).
Cesar Romero - it's been a while but my childhood liked the faces he made. He was silly, but seemed more like a villain than Jack. Dunno... been a bit to put him above Jack though.
Haven't seen:
Jared Leto
Jeremiah Valeska
