Hello BestEverAblums!
My name is Jeff and I'm a happily-married-with-three-kids, small town guy that lives in the wild, remote desert of Utah.
I absolutely love collecting and listening to music. I've been a member of RYM for many years, going back into the early/mid 2000s and as much as I love that site to pieces, I've been feeling stale and haven't really tried to rate anything in earnest for quite some time. I've been thinking that making lists and ranking releases within an artist's discography is probably the better way to go for me and always wondered why RYM didn't offer this feature....and then I discovered this site......I just gotta try it!
My favorite genres of music tend to be:
new wave/post-punk/synthpop/gothic rock/sophist-pop/jangle pop/singer-songwriter/country music (pre-'90s)/jazz/soul/blues/rock/pop
I chose my username because when I do kick back and listen to an album, it is usually just me, my cup of tea, and one of my many CDs.
Other favorite hobbies include hiking/kayaking/exploring, bowling, reading, and indulging in British television w/ the wife via BritBox.
I look forward to participating and meeting all the regulars here!

Hello! I think BEA is a great alternative to RYM, it's similar in some ways and different in others. If you're looking for a change from the classic RYM, the forums here are as well as a bit different chart approach could be what you need. A much smaller and thus more connected community 😄
