All four have albums in my top 50, and I won't even bother counting how many times I've put their works on all my charts combined. They all have upwards of 8 or 9 albums apiece I think are incredible, and I've even read novels written by three of them (two each by Scott-Heron and Cohen...). It's a fantastic final four.

The first: it was a close call, so I decided to go with the artist who had the highest album on my chart. Both Cohen and Scott-Heron have an album up there. In fact all four of these do.
The second: Joni Mitchell's probably the better artist. She's got three incredible albums that are hard to beat, but more for the style.
