its an acquired taste. certainly not for everyone.
its British heavy metal at its finest. The guitars are alive and Bruce Dickinson is one of the best, undisputed, front men in music.
Iron Maiden has disciples all over the world because of productions like this.

There are many albums that sound amazing in the studio and during live performances - suck.
Well this is the opposite- its sounds amazing on cd/spotify but in concert, its memorable!!!

it should be noted that the" art" scenes IE a skeleton running thru a cementary dressed in military attire,
or wounded warrior sitting on a tank, or dead bodies everywhere with 1 skeleton holding a British flag, etc... everyone has seen the photos.
no other band comes close to what these guys put out,
they are the best at what they do.

I'm not the biggest metal guy, but this is a trademark album for the genre. I always find it interesting when a band can change singers and have almost instant success.

The first Dickenson album and the first of the classic run of five, one of the greatest runs in music history. This is killer metal and an absolute icon of the genre, although I personally have a slight preference for the rest of the run to follow.
