I love this album. No, it's not as good as A Rush of Blood to the Head and yes, it's obvious that these tracks were created with the intention of filling arenas and stadiums all around the world, but it's still a great collection of songs from start to finish.

It has its ups and downs. Nowhere near the level of the previous two albums. _________________ on such a winter's day

I'd have to agree with this. No offense if you do like it, but pre-coldplay might as well be dead era (for me that's everything after the graffiti inspired mylo xyloto), this is their worst album.

Listened to it at least 50 times throughout, and I holds up just fine. It shows some true power when I listened to it on a night-ride, looking up out the window and seeing the stars
Now, maybe this sounds obvious now as to me mostly being attracted to shorter albums, but some of the songs are too long (*cough* *cough Low *cough*) _________________ My Top 100 :

The somehow indistinct production, maybe, but the songs are very good

I think this album is often unfairly criticised, considering Coldplay has a somewhat tarnished reputation. I think this album stands unique in their discography with its spacey sound. Not my favourite by them, but still very enjoyable. _________________ All time
