It's a great album, but I feel compelled to say that I'd only rank it #5 on my own list of favorite Roxy Music albums, behind Stranded, Siren, Avalon, and Country Life. I might even like For Your Pleasure and Manifesto more than this one, depending on what mood I'm in.
I guess you could say that this one had the most "impact," though, and that counts for something. What that is I don't know, but it's a great album all the same.

For me quite a good album but not a classic
Virginia Plain is an all-time choon!!

Some fabulous tracks on their debut. I had the privilege of seeing them live twice; both fantastic shows back in '83 & '01. Country Life is probably my favorite.
