Extremely unique and creative album!
My #2 Camel just behind Mirage.

This is my favourite Camel album. While Mirage is also brilliant, Moonmadness has a concept and flow to it that hits home harder for me. As a prog rock nut I see why Mirage might be more popular, and that album is more classic in terms of a generic prog formula for an album. Moonmadness has amazing prog unfolding within the songs, and conceptually is very cohesive. The guitar, drums, keys and bass playing are all on a very high level. The vocals are less prominent but more metaphorical which works perfectly in this context I believe. There's a very good balance between light and shade. I especially love the acoustic 12-string guitar moments. Reminds me of a heavier, faster Floyd at times. Awesome album!
