Well, it's Hendrix and the Experience. So, it's an excellent album of course, but--it's probably the best one. It's packed with songs that embody everything Hendrix: Purple Haze, Foxey Lady, Stone Free (MCA US Version), and Fire. The guitar work throughout is unbelievable, backed by a top notch rhythm section. Some of Hendrix's best softer stuff is represented here as well: Hey Joe (US Version), The Wind Cries Mary (US), and one of the best slow blues/blues rock songs ever recorded: Red House. Plus, one can't leave out some of the best psychedelia of the era: Are You Experienced, Love or Confusion, and Third Stone From the Sun. Great album. The epitome of classic rock. _________________ Elder of the gentle race

One of the greatest ever by one of the greatest to ever do it.
I’m gonna give my special shout-out to May This Be Love, a track that until around this time last year slid by me for the most part. But wow, something clicked in one of my more recent revisitations of this record and I feel May This Be Love is right up there with the best of his more mellow material.
Anyway… this has always been a favorite, it’ll always be a favorite. Simple as that. _________________ Attention all planets of the solar federation: We have assumed control.
