I remember when this album came out, I was ready to hate it as I had not gotten on the Bey train, but this one made me a believer (Beyliever?). An aching and personal album whose pop/R&B sensibilities are as sleek and precise as can be with no shortage of phenomenal songwriting and airtight production. For my money, still Beyoncé's best album.

Took me almost a decade to try it but I really enjoyed it. Huge improvement from 4, that's for sure.
