Definitely my favorite Deerhunter album, but the song "Memory Boy" should really be called "Not a House Anymore" to avoid having it needlessly confused with the Electro-Harmonix Memory Boy analog delay pedal, which came out one year earlier.
I don't think I've listened to this in 10 years, the last time being shortly before they released Monomania. I barely remembered it, other than that I feel like I liked it.
I re-listened today. It's a great album, probably second to Microcastle of the Deerhunter albums I've heard. I'm not sure why I didn't remember, only thing I can think of is that I get Deerhunter and Beach House mixed up, and when I tried to think of music from Halcyon Digest, instead Teen Dream was coming to me. Both great albums from the same year. _________________ 51 Washington, D.C. albums!
