This makes some of the other blandest Britpop sound creative or original. Seriously, this album is garbage. Merry Christmas.

stellar stuff!! an easy ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - one of the finest albums of 1997... I'd have to place it as runner up behind Time Out Of Mind on the podium Wink

I mean, it's fine. It's just hard when your first song is so good you hope the rest of the album will at least come close to that level of excellence and just doesn't.

Track picks
1. Bitter Sweet Symphony
2. Sonnet
7. Space And Time
11. This Time

a very big album for me
Will always appreciate it.
Melancholy yet sublime and strangely uplifting.
And I remember how Elton John knocked The Drugs Don't Work off the top of the Singles charts in the UK with his tribute to Princess Diana, that year, when she was so tragically killed in Paris.
The singles from this album are all classics, I feel.
So is the album.
