Hiss is the best I've heard Megan, and I don't quite jibe with Negro Leo (I've heard two of his records, including Rela, and I thought both were kinda messy). Really interesting pick though. Wasn't expecting him to be here. Tap, you made some really cool choices.
Keep meaning to listen to Negro Leo, and this is yet another indicator that I really need to get on that. Really slick and cohesive piece of music despite being so varied in its composition and pulling from a number of wildly different genre conventions. Making this kind of aural shmorgishborg sound so utterly natural is like a magic trick to me.
All that said, Hiss is one of the most biting tracks of the past few years, Meg has never sounded more confident or proficient with mic or pen. Genuinely think this goes harder (and stabs deeper) than anything Drake or Kendrick did throughout that whole fucking protracted conflict or whatever

Thanks! It was difficult to resist my impulse to pick from the more offputting stuff that I enjoyed, like Germ Lattice, but I'm glad I did!
The thing that gets me with this song is the way it opens up moving between light/airy and heavy/powerful, and then finds that climax that goes airy/powerful, that whole experience is just super satisfying to me. _________________ endaural hour podcast
