3rd time this is album of the day with my comment.
The first three songs are up there with the best three-track run in indie rock history. Beetlebum is a melancholic, hazy, druggy, ethereal and raw tune, Song 2 being one of the catchiest and most precise, bullshit detecting, not-one-millisecond-wasted songs of all time and Country Sad Ballad Man is a highlight in unconventional psychedelic slacker rock. The rest ranges from excellent (You're So Great) to obnoxious (On Your Own, Essex Dogs). Not a masterpiece but certainly intriguing. _________________ My Top 100 :
