Depeche Mode is one that springs to mind. Haven't listened to much of their material recently.

I find this to be a weird question, because to me, if it was something that significantly influenced my musical taste, by definition, that's a reason to put it on my chart. Some of those albums I don't listen to much anymore though. Let's see: Look Sharp- Joe Jackson, The Violent Femmes debut... Those are the only two I can think of right now.... maybe early U2, but Boy is on my chart.

^ that's just the stuff I haven't been into for a few years but loved back in the day. Also I can't remember the last time I listened to Radiohead for the sake of enjoyment (similar to Beatles) and I barely listen to Daft Punk's Discovery anymore .
In fact the last few weeks I've kinda gotten sick of most of the stuff I used to listen to, bar a few like Beach Boys and Talking Heads (btw, wtf how can you get sick of them you douche?)

Red Hot Chili Peppers - By the Way
- probably the first time I really became a fan of a band - i.e. actually listened to several of their albums and I got a bit more into music (in general) as a consequence. I still like it, but I don't really listen to it anymore.
Dark side of the moon was also a game changer for me. That's when I realized the beauty that an "album" can have. Don't know if it can be listed here, cause even though I barely listen to it nowadays, I still consider it a best album that I've heard.
Broken Social Scene - You Forgot it in People
Most important album for me probably, the one that led me to discover many new artists and generally pulled me from my Pink Floyd obssesive years and turned me away from your usual dadrock music I listened to before that.
Same as with DSotM though, even though I don't really listen to it much these days, it has a guaranteed top 10 position on my overall chart.
Maybe worth mentioning are the bands I listened to when I was 4-5 years old, like a Slovenian rock band "Šank Rock" or the croat "Jura Stublić". Who knows what my music taste would be like if I listened to "normal" kids music

THAT NEW AVATAR IS UTTERLY SWOON-WORTHY
Anyway, interesting topic. Now that I think about, the three biggest personal game-changers (funeral and a joydivision best-of) I rarely listen to anymore, but I can't think of three albums that inspired my music tastes more, though some others I go back to from time to time. Singles Going Steady was also huge but I like going back to the individual songs, not the whole thing. There are also some pivotal records I listened to in the 90s by the likes of Fiona Apple and Tori Amos that I haven't heard since, well, the 90s. Then there were some of my mom's old casette tapes that I think influenced me perhaps indirectly, ranging from The Drifters, Sam Cooke, Eurythmics, Midnight Oil, Neil Youn and Fine Young Cannibals, but haven't re-listened to them in a long time.
Perhaps it's time to unleash a bit of nostalgia

Well, the only bands I had listened to properly until about 2-3 years ago were Red Hot Chili Peppers, Coldplay and System of a Down. Out of those I only still listen to SoaD regularly.

meh, every now and then I get in the mood. I've just heard their first five albums so many times I can practically replay the songs in my head perfectly and still get the same aesthetic pleasure as if I listened to it. I have listened to Remain in Light this past week though.
and thanks, AGW, for the profile thing. it's a polaroid so it's even more hipster.
I'll eventually put up some more albums that I don't listen to but influenced me greatly (and, if I get back into them could shoot up to my top 10). One for now is Horses

Trout Mask Replica is slowly achieving this status. Sure it's fun, but I hardly find any actual musical quality in it today. Thinking about it, it's rather a great myth and story than a great album.
