My friends all hated that album, I did too at first but it grew on me, I think it's okay now. I wonder what their next album is going to sound like.

I only discovered it a few weeks ago, and I must say I don't understand why it has been overlooked and less praised than Oracular Spectacular (a good record too). Here is a recent band with two very entertaining and clever records, I am definitely going to follow them.

I think if you look at it song-by-song it may be a bit dissapointing, but if you look at the album as an entire experience it actually is very clever and moves towards more unusual, unexplored directions. Doesn't have the immediate appeal of the first, but it's for the best that they didn't just decide to copy what worked the first time.
