I think Role Model is Eminem's best ever track.

Not as good as Marshall Mathers, but an absolutely essential listen if you want to fully appreciate its followup. Still, there are outstanding moments on here, including My Name Is, '97 Bonnie & Clyde, Just Don't Give a Fuck, Bad Meets Evil, and Still Don't Give a Fuck.

This album's nothing special. It's better than everything he's done since, but nothing on Infinite. He's an undeniably great rapper whose output annoys me due to the ways he's marketed, his repetitive, cartoonish and purposefully controversial content, the annoying beats, the ridiculous level of inconsistency not only in the quality of the songs but also in his worldview (nihilism-by-numbers vs. cringe-inducing moralising). A wasted talent IMO, although his album sales work as a fairly concrete defense against those points made above.

Agreed. I always felt his talents were often wasted on his often cliched lyrical content. There are gems here and there that make him interesting, but he's too inconsistent for me. _________________ Finnegan was super bad-ass.
